Managing a CTF Competition

Modified on Mon, 19 May at 11:10 AM

Once your CTF competition is live, you can still review and edit its core settings and structure. This article focuses on updating a competition’s details and managing challenges from the manager dashboard.

Editing Competition Settings

To edit your competition’s settings:

  1. Go to the Edit Settings page from the competition dashboard.

  2. From here, you can update important configuration options, including:

  • Start and End Dates: Adjust the competition’s timing if needed.

  • Team Size: Change the allowed team size for team-based competitions.

  • Access Settings: Switch between public or private access.

  • Participant Restrictions: Filter who can join based on:

    • Country

    • Gender

    • University

  • Blacklist / Whitelist: Add specific users to prevent or allow participation.

Changes to these settings are applied immediately unless the competition has already ended.

 Adding or Removing Challenges

You can also add new challenges or remove existing ones from the Edit Settings page.

Tip: For the best experience, we recommend finalizing challenges before the competition begins.
Making changes after the competition has started may affect participant fairness and scores.
